My till has packed up. Time to change system

Recommended Posts

I need to change my till now but not sure if I should buy an epos style or a more basic one this just a few departments on to cover the main description ie shoe repairs/key cutting etc etc. I don't really see the point of paying loads of money on a till. What do you guys think ?

Thanks

I guess it depends on the size of your operation. A one or two man shop, could easily have the most basic till (£100-300) and still keep an accurate tally of what is selling and making you money. A shop employing several staff would need more elaborate epos. ( to keep tabs on staff and stock.) Recently my sharp broke down, bought an entry level casio (£100.) It suits my purposes, but I really really hate it. Buying a sharp again about £300 soon. ( my kids can play with the casio.)

I have been using a casio te 2000 it has 24 departments on which allows me to keep an overall figure of takings on each sections ie menssoles, mens sole & heels, mens heels etc. This till gives recipts etc but these tills are now obsolete. I have 2 shops with 3 workers between them.
