Employers - Calim your £2000-00 or lose it!!

Recommended Posts

Just been informed of this employer refund of £2000-00 off of my employee tax, thing is you HAVE TO CLAIM to get it!

So do not miss out, Claim it and claim before the deadline - or you will lose out!

The employers must tick a box on their software in order to claim the allowance at the start of the tax year.

For 2014/15 ER’s NICs is payable at a rate of 13.8% on employment earnings in excess of £153 per week (£7,956 per year), taking this into account, an employer could (if it wanted) pay:

a single employee a salary of £22,448, or

two part-timers on salaries of £15,202, or

three part-timers on £12,786, or

four part-timers on £11,579 per annum and

pay no ER’s NICs at all.

Alternatively if an employer is only paying a number of staff under £153 per week there would not be a NIC's liabiity in any case.

This relief may have a positive effect for many employers and so it is advisable to consider staffing and salary levels ahead of April.

Hello Employer,

From the 6 April 2014 you can get the Employment Allowance which could reduce your employer’s Class 1 National Insurance Contributions (NICs) by up to £2,000 every year.

Who is eligible? Almost every employer who is a business or charity (including a Community Amateur Sports Club) that pays employer Class 1 NICs on their employee’s or director’s earnings will be eligible.

How do I apply? If you’re eligible all you need to do is claim it using your 14-15 payroll software. This will depend on your package, but will most likely be a box you have to tick.

Up to 1.25 million businesses and charities will benefit from the Employment Allowance and around 450,000 will not have to pay any Class 1 NICs at all in 2014-15.

To check your eligibility and get further information about the Employment Allowance go to www.gov.uk/employment-allowance.
