Yes............. What about the Magic Box????

The Watch seminar will be given by Mark Evans of LBS and will cover Water Pressure Testing, Resealing and all aspects of Bracelet adjustment. There will be a seminar on both Sunday and Monday which will last approximately 15 -25 minutes.

The 3 seminars, transponder programming, adhesive solutions and watches are hugely informative and really should not be missed if at all possible ( sorry Lee, I'm not lecturing - I'm just trying to "sell" the show)

And you might also get the rare opportunity to hear Rick and his 6 String singing The Cobbler's Lament. ( it's a bit like The Pub with No Beer )

I decided not to attend the show this year as I wasn't planning on researching any large purchases, the venue was further away for me, and as I'm currently sorting out my new shop, I figured the £80 I'd spend on diesel getting there & back could be better spent on the shop.

So, the weather was good, I had a nice day out at the beach with wife & kids - and picked up a puncture on the way home that is going to cost me £150 for a new tyre. Bugger. Perhaps I should have gone to the show after all!

I'm sure the folks who put all their effort into organising the event will be pleased to read that...

Obviously I can't comment as I wasn't there (but I will anyway).

For me, the show is the place to go when planning a 'big' purchase, so you can compare different machines side by side.

If such a purchase is not on the cards, I only tend to go every other year or so. There can only be so much development within the trade & if you're just going for a general browse, it might well seem a bit 'samey'.

The fact that the seminars were introduced sounded like a great idea to me, I hope something similar will happen again next year when I hope to be there.

Peter's photos of the event HERE show a nice, bright, venue, with plenty of space around the stands & a nice high ceiling making it look spacious & welcoming.

I went! thoroughly enjoyed the day, I sneaked in 10 minutes early so was the first offical visitor through the doors. I left at 3pm & watched the cars racing the rally stage outside from another show when Rick rang & I found myself back inside, leaving bang on 5pm!

Personally I felt the show was a bit to spread out, I think if it had slightly less hall it would have felt more vibrant. it didn't feel as busy with visitors but I think thats because they where spread out to much, it lost its energy a bit & off course today the show continues. The seminars where a good step forward although not as well attended as I'd have expected. I think the ideas thrown out there with not a lot of thought in making it a feature its sort of chucked in the hall with a bit of seating. least ways thats how it felt to me.

However I would say this, in my opinion things don't stagnate I've been to every show for years, never missed the main one & always come away with a new product ordered or to trial. this year it was a sample of the goodyear sole edging i'd not see befoe to try and some vibram styles I hadn't had before on order & information on how to become an authorised vibram repairer.

The tea was a rip off but the food at under a fiver for a large helping good value!

I felt it was a strong show. we ain't the motor industry, its not the motor show. but it is a perfect day out for what we do & cuttingedge do it very well.
