Wiltshire Cobbler
Can anyone help with a HP/REMEX 6640B ? Everyone I've tried says it's obsolete with no alternative available.

Wiltshire Cobbler
Hi Lee, Ligne 11½" (25.6mm) Movement Height 3.25mm Hands 150 - 90 -
Lee
The only thing I could find still available was the HP/REMEX 6060, but I couldn't find a diagram or picture of it anyware, its cheap as chips so might be worth a punt, you never know if nothing else the circuit & stepping motor might be interchangeable to get the old one running. Wiltshire Cobbler
The HP/REMEX 6060 is also discontinued but the alternative is a MIYOTA 2025. This is a completely different movement to the 6640B. It's a shame as it's the first watch this year that we've been unable to repair. Lee
if it didn't have that second hand plastic thing I'd have said change the movement entirely with new hands, but that throws something else in the pot! https://www.agtshop.co.uk/acatalog/HP_R ... ments.html Might be completely different, but like i said before your might be able to swoop over the step motor & electronics? Count Muppet
found this one for you, ISA 1198/12, its 0.45mm thicker but hopefully you have the room for it.
Wiltshire Cobbler
Lee - The movement has every component soldered on, so there's no chance of swopping parts and the Miyota parts were all different sizes anyway. Wage Slave - I had a go with the ISA movement but couldn't get enough clearance for the seconds. I tried changing the glass for a high dome but then the plastic dwarves wobbled and kept catching on the minute hand as they weren't pressing against the inside of the glass. I phoned the customer today and returned this one undone
