D-Power
Hi all!! There are some news about RW4 ID(40) Philips Crypto This function is used to see whether a key with Philips Crypto transponder (40) uses a fixed immobilizer transponder and can therefore be copied onto Silca keys with T5 transponders or uses a crypto code immobilizer and therefore cannot be copied. When the keys has been read, RW4 will show one of the following messages: a. ID40 CAN BE DUPLICATED ON T5 b. ID40 CANNOT BE DUPLICATED This update is free of charge, and no external modules is necessary for this function, please contact your reseller/distributor to get more information and the upgrade. Upgrade is also available via the Silca Remote Service (SRS). If you don't know what SRS is, look here: HOW TO UPDATE SILCA ELECTRONIC MACHINES Note: The same function is availble also for the FastCopy machine

Hi k4mrc, The only machines that can use this new version are RW4 and Fastcopy. I don't understand what you mean with "RW2 with upgrades to RW4". Could you explain ? Guest Keyman
This update shows just how far Silca are lagging behind. While other machines are introducing new technology such as ID46 transponder generation ID41,42,44 cloning and generating to name but a few, Silca are just trying to catch up (and are about a year behind at best). With the introduction of the TPX1 & 2 chips, its hard to see why anybody would want to purchase a Silca RW4,5 or 6!! And even they're Phillips crypto clone keys are way over priced! Its a sad day, as I have been a big Silca fan, but I think that the Silca machine's have fallen to far behind, and maybe worth holding onto as a collectors piece instead

You are both right, we are a little bit lagging behind about Phlips Crypto Copy, and is for this that we release this kind of functions for free. We are working hard on a new project that will surprise you, and is for that it's seems that we are loosing the "War of Transponder Machines", but in reality we are preparing a new weapon , but for the moment I can't tell what we are doing, I can tell only that RW4 is far to be died. In any case your suggestions or wishes for RW4 are welcome.

Technical Tony original
Hi - yes - I did think this sounded alot like a Silca post . Matt is the Main Technical. Person at Silca UK .
Guest Keyman
The main topic Silca need to overcome is the ability to write to a batteryless head, if they introduce another machine without this ability it will be floored from the start. Lets hope Silca produce this along with many more features to see Silca as a market leader once again
Technical Tony original
I have checked up with Silca on this point - Reg. Battery Heads - As far as I have been told - they will not even look at the issue until 2010 ! And still come 2010 - they just may stay with the heads ? k4mrc
Technical John @ SKS on Mon Nov 10, 2008 9:52 am I have checked up with Silca on this point - Reg. Battery Heads - And still come 2010 - they just may stay with the heads ? what a mistake (in my view) silca have been the leaders in keys, worldwide, and for them not to even look at these things till 2010 - thing is the transponder technology is changing very fast - either try to keep up or your OUT!
