i've just had a yale yax key in with an evva profile which i didn't recognise, i've cut it from the EV6L as that seemed to be a perfect match but i'd rather have the proper key shape if it's available.

does anyone know this key?

cheers, rick.

Quick question, has anyone seen the OTHER 6 pin key with YA-79D (YL X1) head? Keep getting conflicting reports, some customers say YA-46D (YL X5) works fine, some say that no, it has the same profile as YA-79D but is 6-pin.

Just curious whether it's people assuming profile based on headshape, or whether there's a third key out there with that head shape.

wish someone would speak in silca or hd codes #-o

So YL X1 and YL X5 aren't HD codes?? :) Ok so I put spaces in but I didn't that'd confuse anyone on here :P

could you please tell me the what the difference is between the 6pin and the ya 46d as i have had a few of these i cut not work but my machine is set up fine and the yale x test lock i have shows no probs.

Difference in the profiles should be quite noticeable, particularly as the YA-46D (YL X5) has a marked downward turn on the cutting edge, and the other grooves are shallower.
