Michael
Will the new update for the Bianchi 883 allow Phillips crypto (Vauxhall) keys to be cut either now or in the future. I seem to be getting lots of these at the moment.
Guest Cjm
The new update will not allow Phillips Crypto(Vauxhall) to be done. I believe Keyline are working on this for sometime in the future though.
Auto Key Wizard
You can clone the I.D. of the T10 & T12 Cryptos on to T5 fixed transponders

On some Opel/Vauxhall vehicles only the I.D. is needed to be copied to the chip for them to work, (I.D. recognised for vehicle to start).
Guest Cjm
This only applies to very old cars ie more than 10 years old though.

Guest Cjm
How do you know how early it is-how do you know whether it uses it or not?
Auto Key Wizard
Vauxhall's ain't always what they seem, I've had 1996-1999 Astra's and Vectra's that have read on the RW2 to be crypto chips but have old fixed code systems. I was told that this does work if the Vauxhall is made before 1998 then its fixed code 9 times out of 10, if the key reads to be crypto hold the key half way out of your RW2 and press Read again and it will come up on the screen as a fixed code number, then get a T5 and clone it and i bet you it starts. On vauxhall, nissan and suburu up to about 2000 even though they are crypto chips there are off a fix code with the RW2 you can clone these on to a T5 chip and this does work 1st put crypto key in to RW2 go to copy then press enter then read 2nd when it reads crypto chip cannot duplicate press enter again the RW2 will now show id copy ? 3rd then press yes enter remove key then insert T5 key press write and this will copy crypto id to T5 chip i have use this method many times for spare keys and for setting logic on earlier vehicle
Lee
Terry thats a class post, I was aware of this could be done but despite asking have never know quite how to do it! I will print this out and leave it by my RW! Lee

Guest Cjm
Yes I know you can copy the i.d code on earlier vehicles(10 years old), they may have had a replacement lock at some stage so it will have a new crypto key, but has no need for that system hence you can copy that as you say on any transponder machine. This applies to many other vehicles with fixed code phillips keys pre 98. Just remember to ask the customer what year the vehicle is before you cut the key. They do work most of the time but there may be some exceptions so the choice is yours.

Wiltshire Cobbler
We have been doing these since I bought an RW2 from SKS several years back. It seem to work on Vauxhall cars up to around 2000. I thought this information was widely known as the RW2 comes complete with the instructions below. Tel - I have not heard before about holding the key half way out to read the code - Ours works as normal to copy these. The following is an extract from the RW2 instructions explaining why and how this works. PHILIPS CRYPTO TRANSPONDER PHILIPS CRYPTO transponders (identified by the number 40-41-42-44-45) feature a legible code (called ID or IDENTIFIER) that is NOT THE CODE WITH WHICH TO START THE ENGINE, but is merely a 'name', an 'identification' that is different for each transponder and cannot be altered. This identifier is used by CRYPTO centralized control systems on vehicles to check that the transponder is in the memory, and only if this is so can it go on to check the hidden crypto code for the engine to start. If the ID is not in the centralized control system it must be memorized by means of the diagnosis device held by the dealer, or for vehicles included in the list, also with a SILCA STLM device. Only after this operation can the centralized control system read the transponder completely and check the part comprising the hidden crypto code. With this particular function PHILIPS CRYPTO transponders can be used in the vehicle central control system with the FIXED CODE system (not Crypto), which uses the ID alone as the FIXED CODE TO START THE ENGINE. In this case the crypto transponder is only partially used because the centralized control system is unable to read and use the hidden part of the code (crypto). However, today car makers can use PHILIPS CRYPTO transponders in their original spare keys, regardless of whether all the code is used (if it goes to a car with a crypto centralized control system) or only part, reading the ID (if it goes to a car that has a fixed code centralized control system). It is therefore possible to copy just the ID code on a PHILIPS CRYPTO transponder onto a PHILIPS or SILCA blank transponder (T1-T2-T5). This operation must be carried out only when it is certain that the vehicle centralized control system is a FIXED CODE type (the information could be provided by the vehicle owner or the dealer, on the basis of the year of registration). If this is not so, the key will not work. To copy the ID proceed as follows: In the Copy stage of an original key, after selecting the make, model and corresponding Silca key blank, place the key (with the PHILIPS CRYPTO transponder) in position on the device and press a key. When the original transponder has been read and recognized as a PHILIPS CRYPTO, a system message will appear: "A key with a PHILIPS CRYPTO transponder has been entered. Only the ID of the transponder on a SILCA key blank can be copied. For further information on this procedure, consult HELP F6". Select the COPY option to make a copy. Wiltshire Cobbler
I forgot to add that the PHILIPS CRYPTO transponders 40-41-42-44-45 cover the following makes, so in theory this should work with all these cars. PHILIPS - CRYPTO - (GM OPEL VAUXHALL) (40) PHILIPS - CRYPTO - (NISSAN) (41) PHILIPS - CRYPTO - (VOLKSWAGEN) (42) PHILIPS - CRYPTO - (UNKNOWN) (44) PHILIPS - CRYPTO - (PEUGEOT) (45)
