For some reason last months poll ended early, So this months poll question is in response to the article published in the Cutting edge magazine which said

NEW CAMPAIGN

Our aim this year would be to prepare for the re-introduction of the NATIONAL SHOE REPAIR WEEK with the intention of having it up and running for November 2006. Caroline emphasised that it was important to start planning and promoting the event now in order to have everybody on board. It was anticipated that publicity would include, press, local radio and leaflet distribution offering customer discounts and services.

The planned date was w/c 20th November 2006, which would enable us to take advantage of the annual exhibition and a normally buoyant trading period.

HAVE YOUR SAY

The committee would be happy to receive comments from the trade that may influence the week’s events and promotion. Please use the reply paid form included with this issue or email or write to the usual address.

My own personal opinion is great, but I feel the date is wrong! Most people have started to run out of money at this point in the month so there aren’t so many people on the high street. I believe the shoe repair week should be the first week of a month to coincide with pay day!

But what do you think? What ideas do you have for the week? What do you believe will work well. Please vote on your favourite week for the campaign and leave a post with your ideas and views for the week.
