Mike at Vauxhall
I sell keepers from cousins. Most times when customers asks for a keeper, on inspection of the strap, the strap generally needs replacing. Every time you sell a keeper I feel you may be potentially missing out on a larger strap sale. Also seen as most other places don't sell them , I charge aggressively. I charge £3.00 for them, but tell the customer I'll take that money off if they come in for a new strap within a month ( or so.)
Gray
I keep keepers ( ) off old straps I've changed.........They go into my "that'll come in handy box" along with buckles, old zip sliders, bag fittings etc, next to my hoardings of offcuts never to be used again.........I just hate throwing stuff away.............. Mike at Vauxhall
I think nearly everyone will have a " that'll come in handy" box. I sold a £15 pound clasp out if mine this week. I keep my box next to my " keys that people don't ask for any more, but you never know" box.
