good job to both lee and mark i too get theses jobs however when i quote the price customers think i am having a laff and mine are lower than yours by at least 10 to 20 %

exactly Elfperson... you have to be realistic if you want the work. and it's a simple quick job anyway!

Same here :(

My customers wouldn't pay more than £15 to repair these, especially if they only paid £45 for them.

Gutted really as it would be a very satisfying result to see the difference before and after and the customer would have virtually a brand new pair of shoes.

Gutted really as it would be a very satisfying result to see the difference before and after and the customer would have virtually a brand new pair of shoes.

 

Michael, Just had a conversation with Lee in the chatroom... She actually came in 3 times before committing to the job, I had to really work on her. Explain about the Thurmo that was on & what she would be getting... People who say they'd have charged £80 + simply wouldn't have got the job.

Yes, your right, if I go in with the attitude that they're not going to pay the price then I've lost the customer before I start. :x

 

Must be positive and SELL myself as well as the repair =D>

i quite agree however i do tell them whats required and that it will be as good as new but up here the complain about paying 1.75 for a key or 3.50 for heels so expecting them to hand over 40 or 50 pound is like your living on another planet lost count how many times they say oh they only cost me a tenner to buy

We all get that.. but you should never assume everyone is the same.... every now and then people shock you.... bit like me lol
