Chris @ IKS
What's the most you've heard of for a standard watch battery? (ie no service / clean etc). I just had a customer come in who had paid £28.95 in Debenhams! She had to show me the reciept because I wouldn't believe her! It was only a 321 battery in a non discript watch. ironplanet uk900
I was out shopping with my missus a few months ago, and had a fairly expensive Rado watch on, Just to be I popped into earnest Jones Jewellers, to ask what they would charge for a new battery. "needs to be sent back to Rado" was the reply @ a cost of £29.95 I also asked in an Independants (no name mentioned) £3 Having said that, if I were a non knowing customer, I would have taken it to Earnest Jones, because of the fact the Independant was a scruffy git, who looked like he'd just got up, and didn't fill me with confidence that he had any knowledge of what he was doing.. Just goes to show, appearance and proffessionalism always shines through.
