keithm
Try mixing Punch liquid polish or a similar product with your velostain. Experiment with the quantities and see if it suits You might be surprised at the results

Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
You can get it from a Trade Decorators supplies, it goes under the name of "Silk Vynil Emulsion" and its watered down to put into containers for cobblers. Any Artists supplies stocks Acrylics in every colour under the sun and in many sizes up to half a pint, water it down to make the ink. Purchase a few colours and make your own shade of Brown etc. (even turd coloured, samples supplied by the above members upon request).
