Never seen anything other than VDO NEC dash in Golf 6 and ive done a few. AVDI has never let me down on these. Not seem MM7 dash so would not know if AVDI would do it. The only other question mark on what system it would be was the year 2009 which could be MK5 or MK6 but Simes said it was MK6.

No problem at all with AVDI, Remember that AVDI is the worlds leader on VAG and is generaly about 4 years more advanced than advanced diagnostics.

on the VAG eeprom you mention, all you need to buy to be able to complete the jobs on lost keys is a reader, the AVDI tag tool does the rest of the job. The most common and in my opinion best and user friendly reader is Orange 5. To make life easier on the Golf mk6 VDO NEC cluster you should buy or make yourself a rig to be able to complete the job on the bench. If you wanted to expand further than VAG eeprom then you would need Tango or miraclone or other similar device that recognises the dump that has been read and place keys in dump. AVDI tag tool does this but is not as good as Tango or miraclone.

Great news, along with Timpsons work I will get even more badly cut jammed tibbe and sx9 keys to extract and maybe the odd non runner when a customer only called in for a spare car key.

In your situation where the customers key works I would be looking at your depths and / or spacing on the new key rather than the tip on the old key.

This door lock works differently to most other cylinder locks. Most cylinder locks when the key is inserted, the cuts on the key moves the pins so they are flush with the shear line in the cylinder allowing the plug to turn whereas this lock it also allows the plug in its housing to move forward slightly so that the very tip of the key picks up a cam in the lock, therefore if the tip of the key is worn or the cam in the lock is worn or the key is not going in the lock far enough or the key is NOT CUT CORRECTLY then the lock will clutch instead of opening. Strip the lock down and all will become obvious. The reason why your ignition turns with the key is that it works on the principals of a normal cylinder lock so the tip of the key does not get involved.
  7. Its not an auction mate, but thanks to Graham it has at least got the ball rolling and given her a option to sell. I keep her updated as and when an offer comes in. but feel free to increase your offer if interested.

  9. Due to a friend of mine who recently passed away, on behalf of his wife I am after sensible offers for a Multilock set up with cutting machine and stock. Attached is a list of the multilock stock and equipment available. Prices are value as new by multilock I believe. Please PM me with any questions or offers. 10. KAP did not actualy run the Paris show, they just had a couple of guys helping out. Abritus only had the odd guy who spoke broken french. In that situation the French would have been buying from Bulgarians. But if the customer knows what they are buying and more importantly their is a bargain on offer I am sure the French like anyone else will buy from British. In fact only the USA and Germany import more goods than France from Britain.
  11. Yep, same as any other programmer be it Tango, miraclone etc etc etc, totaly seperate tools and functions. Orange 5 would be my choice as well.

  13. The problem is that the work is now done and there is no proof of what the problem was. But in reality every time you programme keys to PSA, the keys clear down. So the dealer is in effect saying that the last time keys were programmed to this vehicle that the customer had 8 keys, which we all know is rubbish. The customer must be quite careless to have lost 7 of the 8 keys by the time the came to you.
  14. A much stranger thing is: I have never come across a PSA vehicle yet with more than 3 keys coded. The maximum is 8, but to have 7 keys coded to the vehicle, they would need to all be coded under one diagnostic session. Yep, the 8 keys coded part is a load of rubbish.
